KUSF In Exile 06.13.11 7-730 PM Folks Law DJ Daniel Everett

Folk Law focuses on law and policy topics that affect the everyday people in our communities.  The prevailing view is that there are essentially two society's functioning side by side - one for tho who can afford legal and political representation, and one for those who cannot.  This program seeks to bridge that divide.  Folk Law does not give legal advice - but it does provide much needed insight and information concerning a myriad of civic and legal issues important to our listeners.

Please join me this Monday - June 13th - for a discussion with the Director of San Francisco's Civil Justice Court, Tomiquia Moss. Ms. Moss has been instrumental in getting the Court up and running, and there are few people who are better equipped to speak about its impact on the overall health and vitality of our City.

Tomiquia Moss is working on the CJC's goal to provide solutions for individuals that have high social services needs, which are not satisfied by the criminal justice system. The Court tries to give appropriate services to those individuals, as opposed to incarceration or release.
