INTERVIEW
Dj Margaret is joined with artists COLTER JACOBSEN (Publication Studio), VERONICA DE JESUS, and REGINA CLARKINIA on their current projects and practice.

Currently on view at Martina }{ Johnston Gallery, Berkeley is Sanctuary, an exhibition which represents a collaboration between Veronica De Jesus and Regina Clarkinia that includes works on paper, video installation, and featuring the Light Temple, an architectural installation in the gallery’s backyard which provides a space for contemplation. De Jesus and Clarkinia see Sanctuary reflecting their fascination with creativity, balance, flow, rest, and regeneration.

Coupled with this exhibition is an ongoing collaboration between Veronica De Jesus and Colter Jacobsen celebrating the release of 17 Heavens, a special limited edition of Veronica’s book of memorial drawings, “Hello Now From Everywhere,” with handmade covers and dust jackets by the artist. 17 Heavens is an interpretation of Veronica’s dad’s fantasy’ /realizations of the seven levels of heaven.

KUSF In Exile 07.02.11 9-10 AM Poet As Radio

POET AS RADIO is a new, weekly program on KUSF In Exile, airing Saturdays from 9am to 10am at www.savekusf.org. Jack Spicer said that the poet is not a creator, but a conduit, getting messages from an undefinable source to form the poem. He thought of a poet as a radio, broadcasting words. We like to think of POET AS RADIO as an opportunity for writers to broadcast their words as well.
