KUSF 10.24.10 6-8 PM Spotlight Jerry Cole DJ Stereo Steve

JERRY COLE: From surf to psych. Guitarist Jerry Cole (1939-2008) is renowned for his session work for everyone from Elvis to The Beach Boys, but from 1960 onwards he also kept the bargain bins rockin' by playing on countless surf, hot rod, and 'party music' albums for the CROWN RECORDS label (usually under assumed names). As the 60's got more freaky, his guitar got fuzzier as he recorded day-glo and
paisley exploito-psych masterpieces such as THE ANIMATED EGG and THE INNER SOUNDS OF THE ID. Stereo Steve hosts.
