John Trubee, man, myth, legend. Already known around the world for his crank calls, his sick sense of humor, his miserable job in the hardware store, his fluid guitar playing, and his band, the Ugly Janitors Of America. He has been an important figure in the independent scene for many years now, which started off with the unexpected radio hit "A Blind Man's Penis", (which we were lucky enough to be able to re- release!) one of most requested songs on Dr. Dementos famous radio show out of Los Angeles. He has also toured and recorded extensively with Zoogz Rift, and has released three other full length albums on three different labels, the first two of which appeared on Enigma and Restless. He has since moved and has been layed off from his famous job at the hardware store, but he is still as angry as ever, out to change the world, and ready and willing to cram his music down your throat, whether you want it or not!
Showtunes. Balkan. Noise rock. Drum and Bass. 60s Psychadelic. What do these genres have in common? Nothing. That's why Nobody plays them back to back! Join dj Nobody every Sunday from 4-6 pm (PST) to hear quirky news, entertaining musical selections and live interviews, only on KUSF in Exile. 'Nobody Cares' ... take it however you want.

RAMPAGE RADIO is a 6 hour Heavy Metal radio show founded by Howie Klein, Ian Kallen & Ron Quintana which has aired on KUSF 90.3 FM in San Francisco every weekend since 1982. The early years of Rampage featured the heaviest bands from the UK NWOBHM scene, Europe & the worldwide metal underground along with classic '70s bands and the roots of metal going back to the late '60s. Legendary artists such as Mercyful Fate, Yngwie Malmsteen & Metallica sent demo tapes, receiving their first airplay on this show when no one else was willing to take a chance, and we are proud to have introduced listeners to every new worthy development in metal that has emerged over the last 30 years. 2011 marks the beginning of our 4th decade of weekly broadcasts and we continue to play the latest non-commercial metal to an enthusiastic worldwide audience.

DJ Margaret is joined in conversation with interdisciplinary artist, educator, and clinical psychologist SUSAN GREENE about her projects on the West Coast, as well as ongoing for many years in Palestine where she recently returned from to report.
SUSAN GREENE is an interdisciplinary artist, educator and clinical psychologist. Her practice straddles a range of cultural arenas, new media, and public art; with a focus on borders, migrations, decolonization and memory. Recently Greene has been developing public projects that make use of social networking technologies, in addition to on-the-street listening stations via cell and I-Phone. Through public art projects Greene conducts research on the intersections of trauma, creativity, resilience and resistance. Greene has led or participated in more than 30 public art projects worldwide, from California’s juvenile hall to refugee camps of Palestine. In 2001 Greene began BTS/MAP or Break the Silence Mural and Art Project, an international interdisciplinary project that maps solidarity and resistance- focusing on Palestine. Originally from NYC, she has been a resident of the Bay Area 25 years. She is visiting faculty at the San Francisco Art Institute and has a private psychotherapy practice.

POET AS RADIO is a new, weekly program on KUSF In Exile, airing Saturdays from 9am to 10am at www.savekusf.org. Jack Spicer said that the poet is not a creator, but a conduit, getting messages from an undefinable source to form the poem. He thought of a poet as a radio, broadcasting words. We like to think of POET AS RADIO as an opportunity for writers to broadcast their words as well.

Folk Law focuses on law and policy topics that affect the everyday people in our communities. The prevailing view is that there are essentially two society's functioning side by side - one for tho who can afford legal and political representation, and one for those who cannot. This program seeks to bridge that divide. Folk Law does not give legal advice - but it does provide much needed insight and information concerning a myriad of civic and legal issues important to our listeners.
