TORU TAKEMITSU "The first Japanese composer to write for a world audience and achieve international recognition". Toru Takemitsu composed over 100 film scores and about 130 concert works. After his Requiem for strings in 1958, the West recognized him as the Japanese leader of 20th century music. Join DJ Fari for a brief overview of his life and work.
